Neutralizing corrosion inhibitor STD-8 (for ethylene plant) has the dual functions of neutralization and film formation. It can not only neutralize the acidic components in the corrosive medium, but also combine with the oil adsorbed on the surface of the base metal to form a film similar to the protective coating to prevent the corrosive medium from corroding the base metal, thereby avoiding or reducing the corrosion of the corrosive medium to the equipment.
This additive is a light yellow liquid, alkaline, irritating to the human body, with good thermal stability, and does not contain metal and halogen elements.
This additive is specially used for the corrosion protection of equipment such as process water stripping towers in ethylene plants
1. In order to make the additive and the medium mix evenly, the addition point is selected at the inlet of the water supply pump of the process water stripping tower;
2. Based on the process water flow rate, the addition concentration is generally 10~40mg/kg. First, run at a concentration of 40mg/kg for 7 days to allow the film-forming components to form a protective film on the surface of the equipment. Then the addition concentration is reduced to 20mg/kg. Keep adding evenly and continuously;
3. Observe and record the changes in pH value and Fe2 content at the outlet, analyze the development trend or adjust the injection concentration.
This additive is packaged in plastic-lined iron barrels or plastic barrels, with a net weight of 200±0.5 or 10002.5 kg.
This additive is non-toxic, water-soluble, alkaline, non-flammable and non-explosive. If it comes into contact with the skin, rinse with clean water for 10 minutes: If it comes into contact with the eyes, in addition to rinsing with clean water for 10 minutes, you must also seek medical attention.
